Rolando Gonz\u00e1lez. <\/span><\/p>\n<p>   <u><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-family: Arial\">Origen de la Fiesta<\/span><\/u><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-family: Arial\">La costumbre de venerar la Santa Cruz se remonta a las primeras \u00e9pocas del cristianismo en Jerusal\u00e9n. Esta tradici\u00f3n comenz\u00f3 a festejarse el d\u00eda en que se encontr\u00f3 la  Cruz donde padeci\u00f3 Nuestro Se\u00f1or.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-family: Arial\">Posteriormente, a principios del siglo VII, cuando el ej\u00e9rcito del Islam saque\u00f3 Jerusal\u00e9n se apoder\u00f3 de las sagradas reliquias de la Santa Cruz. Esta ser\u00edan recuperadas pocos a\u00f1os m\u00e1s tarde por el emperador Heraclio, y recordando este rescate es que celebramos el 14 de septiembre la exaltaci\u00f3n de la Cruz.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-family: Arial\">La tradici\u00f3n cuenta que el emperador, vestido con las insignias de la realeza, quiso llevar en exaltaci\u00f3n la Cruz hasta su primitivo lugar en el Calvario, pero su peso se fue haciendo m\u00e1s y m\u00e1s insoportable. Zacar\u00edas, obispo de Jerusal\u00e9n, le hizo ver que para llevar a cuestas la Santa Cruz, deber\u00eda despojarse de sus vestidos reales e imitar la pobreza y humildad de Jes\u00fas. Heraclio con pobres vestidos y descalzo pudo as\u00ed llevar la Cruz hasta la cima del G\u00f3lgota.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-family: Arial\">Para evitar nuevos robos, la Santa Cruz fue partida.
